Embraer Legacy Six-Hundred For Purchase

The Embraer Legacy 600 was first announced/launched at the farnborough airshow in 2000. It had its first flight completed in March 2001 and entered into service in April 2002. It is a super midsize aircraft that is derived from the ERJ-135 model and was initially called the “Legacy 2000”.

This aircraft comes in two configuration such as the Legacy Corporate and the Legacy Executive shuttle. It was also the first official business jet that Embraer has released on the market.

Performance

Powered by two Rolls-Royce AE 3007/A1E turbofans with a thrust of 7,953 pounds-force. The 600 can seat 13 passengers and can travel for up to 3,059 nautical miles (5,650 km) or it can seat 8 passengers for a range of 3,450 nautical miles (6,390 km). This aircraft has a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.80 and a normal cruise speed of Mach 0.78.

The maximum takeoff distance for this aircraft is 5,614 ft (1,711 m) and maximum landing distance is 2,685 ft (818 m). Its maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) is 49,604 lbs, maximum landing weight (MLW) is 40,785 lbs and maximum cruise altitude is 41,000 ft.

Interior

The stand up cabin in this aircraft has a height of 6’0″ ft, a width of 6’9″ ft and has a length of 42’4″ ft. It comes with three individual cabin zones which allow for multiple workspaces for travelers. It has 22 windows to provide abundant lighting and includes two toilets and a separate bar / galley with microwave and oven. The lavatory that is provided is also quite spacious.

The Legacy also utilizes the Honeywell Primus Elite avionics suite glass cockpit for improved pilot control and overall safety.

Additional Info

*The 650E was first announced at the 2009 NBAA and is a longer-range version of the 600. This helps boost its range capabilities up to 3,900 nautical miles (7,223 km) with 4 passengers non-stop.

*An enhanced version of the 650E was also announced later on at the 2016 NBAA.
